The beautiful front and back covers of the Advance Review Copy of my novel are as they will appear in the published book (July 18, 2023!), except of course for the "Uncorrected" disclaimer.
One of the realities of publishing a book now is that publishers (especially smaller indie presses) no longer do all the marketing for a book. My publisher works very hard to send its titles out into the world of the reading public at large, but it depends on its authors to make sure a title reaches the smaller world of the writer's friends and family (you! dear friends and family). I thought I would be telling you that selling my book is not my favorite thing to do, except that I have come to love my characters, their quirks, their big hearts, their dogs, the story they shared with me. And I think you will too. In the course of editing, I have probably re-read my book five or six times in the past year. Surprisingly (to me), I am not sick of it. I enjoyed it each time. (I reassure myself that I'm pretty sure this is not just caused by a case of rampant narcissism.) So, I am recommending it to you. It can be pre-ordered at: regal-house-publishing.mybigcommerce.com/an-invitation-to-the-party/ P.S. It's also available for pre-order on Amazon (with no price break). However, my small press will be much more appreciative of any order than would the behemoth.
